Summer Trend Report
June 21 marked the first day of summer. Who doesn’t enjoy the long days and the fun in the sun activities that hot weather brings? In order to look fashionably hot this season follow these top summer trends of 2010.
Military/Safari—Desert looks with a sweet soft flowy feel—the military-Safari trend will have you being the best that you can be and doing it with a smile. This look can’t exactly make up its mind weather it wants to be hard or soft but both opposites complement each other perfectly. Every age group can partake in the Safari trend by adding a touch of khaki to a rugged military vest. Don’t forget to add a touch of snakeskin!
Country—Girl next door, bright colorful, breezy comfortable fabrics, —-the Country girl trend is always sweet. Anyone wearing this look can’t help but say the coined southern phrase “bless your heart” to whoever walks by. You can wear brightly colored, plaid, light, airy fabrics while sipping on some sweet tea and lying in a field of hay gazing at the stars
City—chic, cool, earthy prints, bold downtown style—- Downtown or uptown urban style city living, and free spirited. Those are all words and phrases to describe City style. This look reminds me of sidewalks, big buildings, red shoes, bold prints abstract prints and SATC2. Two names that come to mind when I think of the City Summer trend: Carrie Bradshaw
Sail—Nautical inspired, whimsical, water, fun in the sun—summer makes me feel fine! Imagine sailing in the ocean with friends sipping on fruity drinks wearing a blue and white horizontal tee and blue sailor shorts. What could be better in life? The nautical sail look can be expressed in all body types. If you have small hips you can certainly wear a full on horizontal striped skirt. If you are small on top wear a brightly colored striped shirt. Feel free to layer this nautical look with a light vest or jacket. Hats and rounded Marilyn Monroe inspired sun glasses would go perfect for the sail look and a day in the sun.
Blue denim—mix and match, adaptable denim—
We all love denim sometimes I even wish the world were more like denim as it shows no discrimination or prejudice. Anyone can wear denim and it is so versatile. This year the hottest denim looks will be materialized in vest, shorts, jackets and skirts.
You won’t have any problem feeling cool in the hot summer weather wearing these looks! Enjoy the summer season.
