Chris Henry’s fiancee is finally speaking out about the events leading up to his death. Original reports stated that Chris fell from the back of a truck she was driving after a domestic dispute however, she tells ESPN that he jumped:

The official cause of death was listed as blunt-force trauma, when he was taken off life support the following day.

The accident was in the wake of a domestic dispute between Henry and Loleini Tonga, his fiancé. She got into the pick-up truck to leave, and Henry got in the back.

A 911 call was placed from nearby, explaining that the witness saw a shirtless man jump into the back of a pick-up truck and beat on the truck window.

A neighbor reported hearing Henry say that if Tonga didn’t slow down the truck, he would jump off the back and kill himself.

The truck was driving in a 35 miles per hour zone, and Tonga said she was going slower than that since she saw he was standing up in back.

Henry is survived by four children, Chris Jr. and DeMarcus, who he had with Tonga, Denalya, from a previous relationship, and Tonga’s child, Seini.

The full interview airs Sunday on ESPN @ 9pm
